Sketch Theme - AWH Team - November Blog Hop

Hello friends, welcome to our last monthly blog hop for 2018 with the Art with Heart team.
We hope that our projects have inspired your creativeness throughout the year.

Tonight the team are sharing projects featuring a card sketch. We hope you like how we have each put our own spin on the sketch and that it inspires you to get creative and make some fabulous cards too. If you are inspired by the sketch, please be sure to share your projects with all of us!

Love it. Live it. Share it.

I love the idea of a sketch blog hop, it takes away the design layout thinking, and leaves you time for choosing your papers, colours and embellishments. I've gone for simplicity, leaving the DSP to pack the punch on my card.
I chose one of the pretty floral patterns from the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper in our Holiday Catalogue. The designs in this paper pack are just gorgeous, printed on shimmery white paper, and definitely not confined to "Christmas only" projects.

The champagne foil goes beautifully with this paper and I layered the dsp panel onto this and then ran another piece through the Subtles TIEF. The 'Congratulations' sentiment is from the Floral Phrases stamp set and I heat embossed this onto Blackberry Bliss in white embossing powder.

I fussy cut a few of the flowers from the DSP and added a little sneaky peak of a brand new product that will be available from the Occasions Catalogue beginning January 3rd!

I'd like to thank our team member Ros for hosting the monthly blog hop this year. Blog hops get great exposure out there in the blogging world, and I love participating in our team hops, so, thank you Ros x.

Heart of Christmas - Week 15

Hello everyone.
I'm feeling a little sad tonight because it's our last Heart of Christmas post for 2018.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing our weekly creations and that you have gathered lots of inspiration for your festive crafting. So, for the last time, welcome to tonight's Heart of Christmas blog hop with the Art with Heart team.

Tonight I'm sharing card #5 in my square card series. I've enjoyed making these cards so much that I might just have to make and share a few more with you all. But for now, here is tonight's card.

The Star of Light stamp set and coordinating dies, has been one of my Christmas favourites' since it first appeared in our 2016 Holiday Catalogue. With its gorgeous stars and beautiful sentiments, it's hard not to fall in love with it. Tonight, I've gone with a non-traditional colour scheme in Balmy Blue with accents of Night of Navy.
I've used the Buffalo Check background stamp and stamped tone on tone in the balmy blue and then randomly stamped the little stars in night of navy. I stamped the sentiment in both blue's and just trimmed to get each word in the different colours, and then backed them with the opposite colour cardstock.

I heat embossed in white onto the solid star and layered other die-cut stars on top, finishing with a clear rhinestone. Of course with all those sparkly stars, I just had to use some of the Sparkle Glimmer Paper.

Well it's time to sign off on this last Heart of Christmas, and to thank our lovely team leader Claire for hosting this fun, festive hop for 2018. Thank you Claire x

AWH Colour Creations - Week 25 - Lemon Lime Twist

Hi everyone!
I hope you've all had a great start to the week.

Tonight the AWH team are sharing projects featuring Lemon Lime Twist for Week 25 of our Colour Creations hop.

Lemon Lime Twist 6" x 6" DSP 2017-2019 In Colours

I've gone super simple for my card tonight and, I think it's super cute too.

I used one of the silver foil-edged cards for the card base, (these cards are in the Holiday Catalogue and also come in gold), and added a piece of the wider striped pattern from the 6" x 6" In Colour pack. To this, I simply heat embossed a flower from the Petal Palette stamp set in white. I heat embossed the sentiment in white as well and this came from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I love layering up sentiments.
I think this little bow is adorable and I made it using the 1/4" LLT Ombre Ribbon and I popped a metallic pearl in the centre.

Taking photo's of reflective cards is a bit of a challenge!

The cards come with matching envelopes too.

By clicking on Catherine's link below, you'll get to see what she and the other team members have made for tonight's Colour Creations hop. Get ready for lots of Lemon Lime Twist inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by.
