Occasions Catalogue - AWH Team - January Blog Hop

Hi everyone, welcome to our January blog hop with the Art with Heart team.

Tonight the team are sharing creative projects, featuring products from the Occasions Catalogue.
The catalogue is current now, until June 3rd. Be sure to request your copy today, along with the Sale-a-bration brochure.
Did you know, that sale-a-bration is a great time to join our fabulous team?
Just ask anyone on the blog hop if you'd like more details.

For my project, I focused on the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack.

The elements contained in the pack can be used for a wide variety of projects, and tonight I'm sharing two cards that I made for the hop.

The pack contains small and large patterned cards and some lovely stickers. It's so simple to create a card in minutes! Can you see the stitched edge around the striped card in the centre? I took one of our Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies and cut down one of the smaller cards. The bow is made from the crumb cake twine out of the Nature's Twine pack that's in the Annual Catalogue.
For the card bases, I've used the Happiness Blooms cards & envelopes that coordinate perfectly with the cards in the pack.

I made a smaller card for my second one.

A gorgeous combination of Lovely Lipstick and Night of Navy. Just look at those beautiful
flowers. The central flower is a sticker from the pack, and all I did to make it sparkle, was to add a touch of the Wink of Stella brush. I stuck this onto a stitched circle and backed it with a lovely lipstick foiled scalloped circle. The foil is a "freebie" from the sale-a-bration brochure, and you get 4 sheets each of, Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove. If you'd like to know more about how you can get your hands on some FREE product, just get in touch with me. The enamel dots are part of the Happiness Blooms suite.

Thank you for joining us on our hop tonight. If you're already hopping, then you may have come to me from the blog of the lovely Kate Morgan, but hops are full circles, so you can start anywhere and just click the 'next blog' button at the end of each post, to get back to where you started.

Next up is the equally lovely and talented Sharon Davern.

If you find a broken link or have come to this hop from a different entry point, below is a list of tonight's participants.

AWH Colour Creations - Week 32 - Night of Navy

Hi everyone!

Night of Navy, I LOVE this colour! I love the richness of it, and it just feels luxurious to me.
It's a perfect colour for any occasion card.

Night of Navy 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Neutrals Collection

Here is my creation for tonight's colour challenge with the AWH team.

Touches of Texture is a stamp set that I haven't inked up in such a long time, and I'm so glad I got it out for this card, because it has some beautiful images in it. It is an image only stamp set, so for the sentiment, I chose one from Varied Vases.
For the DSP, I added thick and thin lines from my night of navy Stampin' Blend marker, to a piece of the balmy blue Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. I backed this with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock. I love any colour in gingham, and the best thing about this paper is that one side has large squares and the other has smaller squares. That's a win, win for me! Other colours in the 6" x 6" pack are - Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist, all with Whisper White. - Gorgeous!!!
I'm also having fun using our fantastic new rectangle stitched framelits! I'm sure you'll be seeing lot's of cards and projects showing off these great dies, everywhere.

I stamped one of our envelopes, front and back, to match the card too.

And inside the card, I stamped the dragonfly and added a strip of the leftover DSP.

I brushed some sparkle onto the flower petals and buds with the Wink of Stella pen, added a bow of gorgeous, balmy blue organdy ribbon, from the combo pack in the Sale-a-bration brochure, and a night of navy enamel dot from the Happiness Blooms suite.

Thanks for stopping by, jump over to Catherine's blog now to see what she has created for tonight's hop and check out the list of participants, for some Night of Navy inspiration from the Art with Heart team.

AWH Colour Creations - Week 31 - Mossy Meadow

Hi everyone!
Week 31 has the Art With Heart team members sharing Mossy Meadow projects with you all tonight, for our Colour Creations blog hop.

Mossy Meadow 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Neutrals Collection

Being such an earthy green, I decided to just add accents of the colour to my project rather than using it as a solid colour, and besides, I had no Mossy Meadow cardstock anyway! - lol.

I've used some products from the gorgeous Needlepoint Nook suite and the lovely Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder. I stamped the leaf spray, behind the stitched square of DSP, and cut this out with the coordinating framelit. I sponged some Mossy Meadow ink onto a piece of thick Whisper White cardstock and die-cut the banner behind the sentiment and the leaves behind the flowers. I really like the mottled look of the colour this way. The sentiment is also stamped in Mossy Meadow and to get the narrow stitched banner, I used one of the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. I placed the die where I wanted it underneath the sentiment and cut, then I reinserted it back into the die, coming down to just above the wording, to get the narrower shape, and cut again. I absolutely love the new dies and I'm so glad we finally have them! They compliment our Stitched Shapes dies of, squares, circles and ovals so well.

I gave the flowers a little bit of dimension by pushing into the centre of them with the blunt end of my paper piercing tool. It just gives them a little lift. I added a pearl from the Share What You Love Artisan pearls.

That's it from me tonight everyone, jump over to Catherine's blog to see her Mossy Meadow creation and the list of other participants in tonight's team hop.

See you next week for projects featuring Night of Navy.
