In Colour Theme - AWH Team - June Blog Hop

Hello & welcome everyone!

Tonight the Art with Heart Team are sharing creative projects featuring an In Colour theme.
Check out the new 2019-2021 In Colours, and let's not forget our current 2018-2020 In Colours.
If you would like a copy of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue, contact any of us girls on this blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

Tonight I'm sharing the project that I made using the new 2019-2021 In Colours.
I'm pretty confident I can name them all now without looking in the catalogue - lol.
We have Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray & Purple Posy.

Here's my creation.

I decided to make a little set of note cards to showcase the 5 new colours. One of my most favourite suite's in the new catalogue is the Magnolia Lane suite. It is just a beautiful suite of products.

I ran each of the colours through the Subtle 3D embossing folder for the square mat. The flower is made using the solid and overlay die from the Magnolia Memory Dies. This was added to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added some soft sparkle with the Wink of Stella glitter brush. The sentiment is from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, I stamped this in memento ink as well, and die-cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. I added some extra dimension with the new In Colour faceted dots.

Of course I had to make something to hold them in.

So I decorated one of our Mini Pizza Boxes.

I added a black layer under the embossed mat and used the smaller leaf dies from the coordinating die set. You can see that I used the Wink of Stella again on the leaves, and our beautiful glitter organdy ribbon was a perfect match to compliment everything. Each card has a 3" square envelope, and they all nestle together very sweetly in this little gift set of five cards.

Thanks for joining us on our hop tonight, now it's time to head over to the blog of our next participant, the lovely and talented Rebecca Jacovou.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, below is the list of tonight's participants.

Good Morning Magnolia and farewell to my beautiful Mum.

Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by today.

I have been missing in action for a while. My beautiful mum passed away two days before Mother's Day, May 10th, and I just haven't felt motivated to do much crafting. Her death has left a huge void in my life and I was initially struck with not knowing what to do with myself, as her well being had been such an all consuming concern for a very long time. However, I do know that she would have wanted me to continue doing what I love, and that is creating my papercraft projects.  Mum loved pretty things and I know that she would have loved seeing the beautiful cards that I have decided to share with you all today. This blog post is dedicated to "my girl - Shirl".

Love you mum 💕

My beautiful mum - Shirley.

It is so easy to create beautiful projects using the Magnolia Lane suite of products.

You will find all the information on what is included in the suite bundle on page 37 of the Annual Catalogue. Stampin' Up! have made it so simple for you to order the entire suite by using a single product bundle number - go check it out. If you don't have a demonstrator here in Australia and would like a copy of the new catalogue, please get in touch with me.

Here are the cards I've made.

The cards are 5 1/2" square. Each card is layered with cardstock and beautiful patterns from the Magnolia Lane DSP. I stamped the magnolia flower onto Whisper White cardstock with Mossy Meadow ink and cut out with the Magnolia Memory large magnolia die. Note: It is recommended that you stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black ink if colouring in with the Stampin' Blends markers. It stops bleeding and blending of the colours. With this said, I just made sure to be very careful when colouring my magnolia with the blends. I didn't have Mossy Meadow blends at the time, so I used my Old Olive markers, both light and dark, and I was happy with the result. I ended up spritzing each of the flowers with a mix of shimmer paint and rubbing alcohol. It gives such a pretty soft sparkle.

On this card I used the ribbon combo pack that consists of a lovely linen ribbon with white edges and some Mossy Meadow linen thread. The gold faceted gems look gorgeous with these colours. The sentiment is from the Special Celebrations stamp set and I stamped it in Mossy Meadow. I die-cut this with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies and backed it with two different sized pieces of cardstock in Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow for the layered look.

On this card the sentiment is from the Forever Lovely stamp set. I've stamped again in Mossy Meadow and die-cut with a Stitched Rectangle. This time the ribbon is the gorgeous Organdy Striped Ribbon in Petal Pink. It's so pretty! Other embellishments are basic adhesive backed sequins and a pearl centre.

Don't forget to stamp your envelopes too!

Front and back.

I made these two cards to give to friends who were celebrating birthday's close to mine. We all went out and shared a lovely lunch together.

I gifted each of them with a Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.

Some simple wrapping in brown paper with the lovely magnolia flower stamped in Mossy Meadow and wrapped with some Braided Linen Trim.

I highly recommend this beautiful suite of products.

Thank you again for stopping by today.
I hope to see you all again soon.
