AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop & Blushing Bride

Hello friends, here we are again, another new week and another Colour Creations Blog Hop with members of the Art with Heart team.

The star of tonight's hop is Blushing Bride.
Blushing Bride 6" x 6" DSP from the Subtles Colour Family

I almost thought that I wouldn't have a card ready for tonight's hop but I got there in the end. It probably helped that I needed to make a birthday card for my sister-in-law, whose birthday is this Wednesday! Nothing like almost last minute right?!..... 😉

My card base is Thick Whisper White that measures 4 1/8" x 5 1/2" when folded.
When I started thinking of Blushing Bride as our featured colour tonight, I thought of soft & pretty and I think that's what I've achieved with this card. The softness comes from the Tufted 3D Dynamic embossing folder and the pretty has got to be the beautiful Petal Promenade DSP. This paper has photographic floral images on one side with complimentary marbled and textured designs on the opposite side. It's oh so pretty! From now until July 31st you can purchase three packs of DSP and get your fourth pack FREE. That's right - buy 3 get one FREE!!! And the great news is that Petal Promenade is one of the selected packs included in the sale.

Now back to my card.

In this close-up photo you can see where I have brushed on some Wink of Stella to the butterfly and greeting from the 'Painted Glass' stamp set. Sahara Sand is a coordinating colour to the DSP so I have used that to stamp both the butterfly and sentiment. It matches nicely with the gold foil too.

The lovely diamond gems are actually Petal Pink but I think they look gorgeous here. They come in a pack of mixed shapes and sizes, check the product list below. That's just another one of the wonderful things about Stampin' Up! in that you can mix & match our embellishments to suit your designs.
