Hello stamping friends.
Tonight we're up to Week 14 of our Colour Creations blog hop and the star of the show is
Crushed Curry.
Crushed Curry 6" x 6" DSP Pack from the Regals Collection
For my Crushed Curry project tonight, I ended up CASE-ing a card from the Annual Catalogue on page 139, and it uses the 'Eastern Beauty' stamp set and coordinating thinlits dies. This stamp set and dies have not seen any love from me for ages so it was well overdue for a dust off!
Using the Stampin' Up! Colour Coach, I decided to use Calypso Coral and Garden Green to compliment the Crushed Curry. The sentiment stamp from the Eastern Beauty set is actually curved, but being photopolymer, I was able to straighten it when I added it to the block for stamping and it's punched out with the Classic Label punch, I punched another label in the green to back it with.
Crushed Curry is not a colour I would reach for if I was in a hurry to make a card and yellow is not a favourite colour of mine anyway, but I have to say that I really like the bright and happy feel of this card and I certainly think that the bling helps too.
Thanks for stopping by tonight.
I can't wait to see what the other girls have created for their Crushed Curry projects.
Here's Catherine's blog link to check them all out.
