Hi friends, it's Week 16 of our Colour Creations blog hop.
Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects using Early Espresso.
Early Espresso 6" x 6" DSP Pack from the Neutrals Collection
And I thought coming up with an idea for featuring yellow in a project was hard, it was nothing compared to choosing how to use Early Espresso for this weeks colour challenge, but I'm pretty pleased with my card. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make it feminine enough and I didn't really want a masculine card at this point in time, (forgetting that my brother's birthday is this Friday - oops!), anyway this was what I ended up with and I think it's quite feminine after all.
The DSP is from the Share What You Love Specialty DSP pack, which is part of the Share What You Love Suite. Another product in this suite is the Lovely Floral Dynamic TIEF and I have made it my focal image, embossed onto a stitched square of Early Espresso. I chose Rich Razzleberry as the complimentary colour and that's what the greeting is stamped in. The flowers, in Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso, are die-cut with the small flower die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits. I wrapped a piece of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon around the rectangle mat and added a bow to soften the whole look even more. I forgot to use the artisan pearls, another product in the suite, and used rhinestones instead for some bling.
Inside I added two narrow strips of the main dsp from the front of the card and a couple more of the die-cut flowers. I saved the centre's from each of the flowers and stuck them back inside but in opposite colours. Both the front greeting and inside sentiment are from the Varied Vases stamp set.
I'm really excited to see what the other girls from the team have made, and you can check them all out too by using Catherine's blog link below.
Thanks for stopping by tonight.
If you're leaving a comment below, thank you so much.
I read and appreciate them all. 💗
Until next time.....
Stay happy & stay crafty! 😘
Oh, and P.S. don't worry, I'll make my brother a birthday card. 😉
