Christmas Theme - AWH Team - August Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to tonight's monthly blog hop with the Art with Heart team.

Tonight the team are sharing creative Christmas projects, many featuring products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on the 4th of September.
If you would like a copy of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue or the new Holiday Catalogue, please contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

I have chosen products from the Holiday catalogue to create my card for tonight's hop, along with a few Annual catalogue favourites.

I have a sister-in-law who loves almost anything in purple - so this is her Christmas card for 2019.
Firstly, I knew the card had to be purple, and then I drew inspiration from the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. There are soft and pretty photographic images on one side and silver foil designs on the other.

Once I had the idea in my head for this card, I was so excited to get it made. I purchased the Still Scenes bundle, which consists of a stamp set and coordinating dies. Other products that coordinate with it are the Snow Globe Shaker Domes and some gorgeous Snowflake Sequins.

Even though the beautiful designer paper is part of a different suite, I think it's really well suited to backdrops for the snow globe. If you prefer not to create a 3D style of card, the Still Scenes stamp set has images that you can stamp straight to card to reflect a snow globe scene.
This card was simple to make and the results can be stunning!

To make the triple bow, I just cut a length of the Flax Ribbon. After removing the locking stitch along the side of the ribbon, it's easy to then pull each strand away. I used three strands and simply tied the bow. It's been added with a glue dot.

The sentiment was heat embossed with the Shimmer White embossing powder and I've used a die from the Ornate Frames dies in the Halloween section of the Holiday catalogue. Stampin' Up! and versatility go hand in hand.

I love the sparkle in this embossing powder!

It's always lovely to bring the outside in -  so the inside of the card reflects the front.

I love this card and I think I'm going to have a hard time parting with it, but I can always make another!

Here is a list of products that I've used from the Holiday Catalogue.
