AWH Team - June Creative Showcase - New Catalogue Products

Hi everyone & welcome to this month's Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase.
Tonight the team are featuring projects using their favourite products from the new Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue.
The new catalogue is full of amazing new stamp sets, some bundled with dies or punches, and some absolutely fabulous product suites. Kits, papers and accessories complete the range of products that you will see in tonight's showcase.

I will confess that the Forever Greenery Suite on pages 108 to 110 of the new Annual Catalogue was not on my "must have" list. But after seeing so many lovely cards and projects made with products from the suite, I just had to buy it. I will also confess that I was sure I wouldn't really use the Gold Hoops Embellishments, but as you'll see in the cards I'm sharing with you tonight, I just couldn't resist using them.

Here is card No.1

I saw this Fun Fold design on a YouTube video by Amanda Charlesworth, a UK demonstrator.
Instead of a belly band to hold the gate fold card from opening, the decorated square panel slides between the gap in the card front. Four same sized squares are used to make it.

Here's a close up shot.

It's such a simple but clever idea.

I dry embossed the Pretty Peacock square using the leaf and berries pattern from the Greenery Embossing Folders. There are two patterns in this embossing folder set and you will see the other design on my second card. I stamped one of the images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock to give the background some colour depth.
The sentiment on the Whisper White stitched circle is from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set and I repeated the background stamp but this time in Just Jade - one of our new 2020-2022 In Colors.
You can see now why I had to use one of the Gold Hoops Embellishments! I attached the hoop with glue dots and used die cut leaves from the Forever Flourishing Dies to cover them. These are cut from Just Jade and Shaded Spruce cardstock. You'll notice that some of the leaves are under the hoop and others are sitting on top. And look at that gorgeous spray of gold leaves, it's from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper. I attached the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals and added a double bow made with the metallic trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (The other item in this two pack is a 1/2" open weave Vanilla Ribbon). I also added three of the new 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots in Just Jade.

Inside the card I added a half inch strip of a pattern from the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, and a stamped die cut with a tiny gold trim bow.

Here is card No. 2

On this card I've used the same Fun Fold design but this time I added some Night of Navy cardstock and ink, and I think it really compliments the 'greens' within this suite.

In this photo you can see the other patterned embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders set. I embossed half of the Just Jade square and stamped another image from the Forever Fern stamp set on the opposite side. The image and greeting are both stamped in Night of Navy ink. I added the gold hoop and leaf die cuts the same way as on the first card and embellished with the gold trim and enamel dots. The sentiment was die cut using a Stitched Rectangles Die and is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I repeated the simple stamping on the inside of the card.

Unfortunately, I don't possess a natural "green thumb" but with the help of the gorgeous Forever Greenery Suite I think that I've created a couple of botanical beauties!

Thank you for stopping by.

The next demonstrator to share her 'new product' project is the lovely, Catherine Proctor.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, below is the list of tonight's participants.
