AWH Team - Colour Creations Week 29 - Mossy Meadow

Hello and welcome everyone.

It's Week 29 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art with Heart team.
Tonight our featured colour is Mossy Meadow from the Neutrals Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.

Mossy Meadow is an earthy green, and it's one of the colours in the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. This pack of designer paper had made a welcome return in our Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue as a favourite from last year, but unfortunately it has SOLD-OUT and is no longer available. However, the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and coordinating punch pack that went with this DSP, is still available on the Retiring Product List in my online store at a great discount. Now would be the time to buy, so you don't miss out.

Here's my card.

It was too late for me to make another Mossy Meadow card once I realised that the DSP had sold out, so I hope you don't mind me sharing it anyway. I wanted a masculine style Christmas design for this card, and I think I've achieved that look. It was quite quick and easy to put together with just a bit of die cutting and stamping.

This photo really shows the gorgeous copper foiling in the designer paper. I cropped a Stitched Rectangle from the DSP for the centre panel and matted with a slightly larger piece of Mossy Meadow card stock. The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow classic ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and backed with copper foil. Both of these elements were cut with dies from the Ornate Frames. A copper star was the perfect embellishment.

The Very Vanilla writing panel is matted with card stock and a piece of DSP, and stamped with the lovely filigree pattern stamp from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

Even though this lovely DSP is no longer available, we have so many other wonderful designer papers that would work equally well with this very easy, quick and simple design.

Well, that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Mossy Meadow projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of all tonight's participants on her blog.

The AWH team are taking a two week break from the Colour Creations Showcase over the Christmas and New Year holiday period, but we'll be back in 2021 with new projects and a brand new catalogue in the form of the Jan-June Mini Catalogue. Be sure to ask your demonstrator for your copy.

We'll see you on January 6th with our Night of Navy projects for Week 30 of the Colour Creations Showcase.

Wishing you, wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrations.
See you all in 2021. Stay safe and well.

  2. Oh, Caroline, this is beautiful! I looked at this patterned paper, and didn't know what to do with it, but you have created such an elegant, nicely put-together, card. Great way to showcase Mossy Meadow!

  3. Love your very non Caroline style card, Caroline. I know that you like to use a white card base but for this more masculine card, the darker shade works brilliantly. I love all the layers and the use of the copper foil is perfect!

  5. A beautiful Regal and rich card, Caroline. The metallic accents are the perfect shine for this dark colour. You've inspired me to try and use this particular piece of DSP, as I found it very overwhelming.
