AWH Team - Colour Creations Week 37 - Pretty Peacock

Hello and welcome everyone.

It's Week 37 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team.
Tonight's featured colour is Pretty Peacock from our soon to retire In-Colours of 2019-2021.

This week I've been playing with the Pierced Blooms Dies from the Mini Catalogue.

The dies coordinate with the In Bloom stamp set, and can be purchased as a bundle which is what I did. For this card I concentrated more on the dies, but I did use one stamp from the set - it's the tiny group of dots that I stamped in Pretty Peacock between the heat embossed sentiment.

In Bloom Bundle - Jan-June Mini Catalogue.

I used the long narrow rectangle stitched die from the All Dressed Up die set to cut three strips for the 'Best Wishes' sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set.

Here's a closer look at the details of the piercing created with the dies. For the leaves I double embossed a piece of Sahara Sand foil with the Subtle 3D embossing folder - I love the crosshatch pattern that's achieved by doing this. As a rule I always emboss first and then die cut. This way, the detail from the dies is sharper.

I went a little more fancy with the inside of the card than I usually do.

I brushed on some sparkle to the Pretty Peacock petals courtesy of the Wink of Stella brush pen and just look at those gorgeous blue faceted gem centres.

Well, that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by.
You'll find a full list of the products I've used on my card at the end of this blog post.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Pretty Peacock projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, will have a list of tonight's participants over on her blog.

See you all again soon. Stay safe and well.

  8. I look forward to your cards each week Caroline. This week's is a beauty. The depth of the Pretty Peacock is offset by the crisp white and I love your use of my favourite die to create the sentiment strips. The stitched flowers work so well with the brick patterned embossed background and the touches of gold foil are lovely.
