Hello and welcome to Week 19 of the Colour Creations blog hop from the Art with Heart Team.
This week we are shining the spotlight on Gorgeous Grape from the Brights Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.
It feels like ages since I last played with the Pierced Blooms dies, so I got them out again for this weeks card.
It didn't take long for this pretty design to evolve in my head, and once I decided on the square card base everything else just fell into place. And it's so easy to create pretty projects with these dies and the coordinating In Bloom stamp set.
I randomly stamped one of the small flower images in Gorgeous Grape all over the first matted layer of Basic White and filled in some of the gaps with this dotty stamp in tuxedo black. I wanted some texture behind the flower die cut so I dry embossed the smaller matted piece with the Tasteful Textile 3D EF.
The sentiment is embossed in white on Basic Black and fussy cut. I wanted to add some ribbon but I didn't want anything to wide so I opted for strands of silver thread that I pulled from the metallic mesh ribbon. I think it's just the right amount of something different. The flower centres are clear basic rhinestones.
That's it from me tonight everyone, thanks for stopping by.
Lets go take a look at the rest of the teams Gorgeous Grape projects. Just click on the 'next blog' button at the end of each blog post.
The next creative and talented team member is Catherine Proctor. She's also the lovely host of our Colour Creations blog hop and will have the complete list of all participants and their blog links for tonight's hop.

Another super sweet card, Caroline! The tiny purple flowers are adorable, and the fine silver thread behind the main flower are a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteCaroline, I see so many card using the dies, but the poor old In Bloom stamp set gets overlooked. You've used it so well on this card to add the Gorgeous Graper at full strength while keeping your usual clean and elegant style. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch a delightful card, Caroline! I love the background you created with the tiny flower stamp, and the dotty stamp. The embossed and pierced details on the central panel pack a real punch - just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is a real 'Caroline card'! It oozes prettiness and cuteness and everything you achieve in your craft. It is so cute and the stamping is perfection.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Caroline and perfectly stamped background reminding me of sweet fragranced violets. Touch of bright green complements the purple nicely.
