Hello and welcome everyone to Week 45 of the Colour Creations blog hop from the Art with Heart Team.
This week we are featuring Soft Sea Foam in our projects. Soft Sea Foam is a member of the Subtles Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.
Each week of this blog hop not only do we have the challenge of deciding how to use our spotlight colour but for me, the challenge is also deciding what type of card to make. So this week I've made a 4" x 4" square 'thank you' card. These type of cards are always handy for customer thank you cards or I could just simply change the sentiment for a birthday, hello or get well card.
I used the Stamparatus to SITR (stamp in the round), using the small daisy flower from the soon to retire Daisy Lane stamp set. I stamped in Soft Sea Foam onto Soft Sea Foam card stock, creating the tone on tone look. I also grabbed a blending brush and brushed Soft Sea Foam ink around the flowers. This helps to ground the daisies.
I used a Stitched with Whimsy die to add some faux stitch detail over the stamped daisies. It has a double action of creating an extra element and some texture.
I've punched a Basic White medium daisy twice and added some veining with a stylus, and used a Pierced Blooms die centre in Mint Macaron. I've also stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron and it's from the Art Gallery stamp set.
To "bling it up" I made a double bow using some silver twine from the Simply Elegant pack and added several basic rhinestones.
You will find store links to each of the Stampin' Up! products I used to make my card below.
That's it from me tonight everyone, thanks so much for stopping by. It's time to hop to the next blog now to see another Soft Sea Foam project.
Tina Gillespie, is our next talented and creative team member to share her creation with us.
As always our lovely host, Catherine Proctor, will have the list of all tonight's participants over on her blog.
Stay safe and well everyone. See you all again next week.
