It's Tuesday again, and that means Colour Creations blog hop night with the Art with Heart team - yay!
It's Week 47 and So Saffron is our featured colour tonight. This lovely soft creamy yellow is a member of the Subtles family.
So Saffron 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Subtles Collection
I have made two cards for tonight's hop and here's the first one.
To compliment the buttery yellow, I went with another colour from the subtles family - Pear Pizzazz. Matted rectangle layers make up the simple design. The 'thank you' sentiment is heat embossed in white, this, and the stamped Crumb Cake flowers are from the Love What You Do stamp set. The embossed sentiment goes nicely with the sweet pearlized flower pattern from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. It's very hard to see in this photo, but I brushed on some Wink of Stella to the stamped flowers for a little added sparkle and shine. I embellished with a double bow of Linen Thread and some pearls.
I've also used the Subtles TIEF to give the card some texture.

My second card has the same layout but with the reversed colours and slightly different matting.
Instead of the white pearls on this card, I chose the Gold Faceted Gems.
