Sale-a-bration is almost at an end!

Hello friends.

I hope you are all safe and well, and coping with the current health situation that is dominating the entire world at the moment. Those of us who craft for a hobby or business are at least, able to continue doing what we love.

I thought I'd share a couple of cards that I made using the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper that is FREE with a $90 Stampin' Up! product order. This gorgeous paper is only available while stock last, during these final days of Sale-a-bration!

I am totally in love with the striking, black and gold and white patterns in this paper pack!

Above, is a Double Point Fold card. This was the first time I tried this fun-fold, and I love it!

Under the Stitched Nested Labels is a little 'hello'! This greeting is from the Honey Bee stamp set on page 30 of our Mini Catalogue. You will save 10% if you purchase the stamp set and the coordinating dies as a bundle. The stunning gold bee on the front of the card was cropped with a die from the Honey Bee Bundle.

Inside, I simply stamped the little bee. That's all it needed.

My next creation was a Wiper Card. Another design that I tried for the first time.

It's such an interactive, fun card!

Here's the front of the card.

Here's the back of the card, with plenty of room to write your personal message.

And here it is, fully opened to reveal the hidden bee inside!

I attached the bee to a piece of acetate, so that when you open the card it looks as though the bee is flying out of the hive.

So, remember that Sale-a-bration finishes on the 31st March. FREE products will be available until this date, or while supplies last.

Stay well, stay crafty. Stay happy & healthy.

Until next time.....

AWH Team - March Creative Showcase - Monochromatic Theme

Hi everyone & welcome to our Art With Heart Team blog hop for March.

Our blog hop has taken on a new look, and we hope that you will join us each month as we share our Monthly Creative Showcase with you all.

This month's theme is Monochromatic.
Monochromatic colour refers to a colour scheme that is comprised of variations of one colour.

For my project tonight, I decided to make an alternate design using one of the card bases from the Kerchief Card Kit.

All Inclusive Kerchief Card Kit. # 152319

This very pretty kit is a Sale-a-bration item that you can get for FREE with a $90 Stampin' Up! product purchase.

I chose a Coastal Cabana base to work on, as well as ink and cardstock for the monochromatic look.

One thing that I really like about these kits is that you don't have to stick to the kit design. You can use the elements that are included, and make up your own unique design or grab other dies, punches and stamp sets and create something totally different.

The lovely flower was a punch out from the kit. To make this pop a little more, I brushed Wink of Stella along the outer edges of the flower and traced the petals and darker shadows within the flower.

Here is a closer look.

I think this looks much better than an all-over brushing.

The leaves are from the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamped tone on tone in Coastal Cabana, and punched out with the Leaf Punch.
'Happy Mother's Day' is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set. It is stamped in Coastal Cabana and cropped with a die from the Ornate Frames die set. I sponged over the piece after it was cut with Coastal Cabana ink, but only very softly, just to give a hint of the colour. As well as the stamped sentiment, I grabbed my dark Pool Party Stampin' Blend marker and drew on a few little stars just to fill it in. Pool Party worked well here. It looks very similar to Coastal Cabana.
All of these elements were then attached to a Subtle embossed piece of Coastal Cabana that was cropped with a Stitched So Sweetly die.

I trimmed the inside bottom of the card with a half inch strip of Coastal Cabana that I ran through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder first, and then cropped with the border die from the Stitched Be Mine dies.

The three small white enamel dots that you see, are also from the kit. I added a touch of sparkle to them from the Wink of Stella pen. You may have noticed the one inside the card too.

That's it from me tonight.

The next demonstrator to share her Monochromatic project is our lovely and amazingly talented team leader, Claire Daly.

Masculine Theme - AWH Team - February Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

It seems funny to be saying that now, as we are already at the end of February 2020! But, as this is my first post for the new year, I felt the need to say it.

And, welcome to our first Art With Heart team blog hop for 2020!

There are many masculine themed products in the current Stampin' Up! catalogues - including Stamp sets and coordinating dies, Designer Series Paper, Embellishments and Embossing Folders.

The Art With Heart team have a wonderful selection of projects to share with you tonight.
Hopefully they will inspire you to create your own Masculine Masterpieces.

I'm sure many of you can appreciate the "real struggle", that comes with designing a masculine card.
And that's exactly what is was for me, with this card - a real struggle!
However, I did get there in the end, and I have to say that I really like the end result.

I even got the "thumbs up" from hubby. I'm sure he'll forget what it looks like, come October for his birthday. 😉

I chose Crumb Cake for the base of the card and the first mat. I decided to do 'tone on tone' stamping with the Crumb Cake ink. First I sponged around the edge and then stamped the border stamp from the Little Elephant stamp set. Happy Birthday is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

The next mat is a pattern from the Country Club Designer Series Paper. You'll find this DSP in our new Mini Catalogue, on page 47. I glued it to a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, and ran that through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. This panel is popped up on dimensionals.

I stamped the 'You're the BEST!' sentiment in Night of Navy and it's from Family Party.
I cropped this with a die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies, then I added the next size die-cut from the same set in Night of Navy cardstock. This is glued flat to the embossed panel.

Inside, I repeated the sponging on another piece of Crumb Cake and added a narrow subtle embossed strip of DSP and cardstock to the bottom.

That's it from me tonight, now it's time to continue the hop by heading over to the blog of the lovely Christina Barnes.

If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, below is the list of tonight's participants.
