Hello friends & welcome to this week's Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art with Heart Team.
Tonight's featured colour is Blackberry Bliss.
Blackberry Bliss 6" x 6" DSP from the Regals Collection
I had a perfect card design idea for tonight's hop. Up to the craft room I went to start creating my card only to discover that I had no Blackberry Bliss cardstock or ink - oh no! All I had was a pack of Natures's Poem 12" x 12" DSP and the 4 pack of Nature's Twine. Blackberry Bliss is one of the colours in both of these products.
Hmmm, what was I going to do now?!
I know, I said to myself, I'll set a challenge to make a card with what I had to hand.
And here it is.....
I chose a Thick Whisper White card base and layered a piece of the Nature's Poem DSP onto a piece of Crumb Cake. I repeated the next panel the same, cut it down to a small square and then I cut one of the leaf patterns from the DSP with one of our stitched square shape framelits. This square panel is popped up with dimensionals. From the 'Make A Difference' photopolymer stamp set I chose the 'Handcrafted Just For You', masked off the word handcrafted, and stamped it in Memento black ink onto one of the larger leaf patterns from the DSP pack. I punched this out with the Classic Label punch, trimmed it down and backed it with a Crumb Cake label.
I tied a double bow with the Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake Nature's Twine and attached it with a glue dot catching the label underneath. I popped the opposite end up with a mini dimensional. A touch of Wink of Stella to the leaves adds a subtle shimmer which looks great against the matte look of the card.
*Funny story - after making the card, I was looking for something else and discovered that I did have some Blackberry Bliss cardstock after all. Hehehe.....😜
