Heart of Christmas Week 2

Hi stamping friends and welcome to Week 2 of the Heart of Christmas from the Art with Heart team.

I have really been enjoying creating cards lately with copper heat embossing and tonight's project is no exception.

The 'Star of Light' stamp set made its first appearance in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue and it carried over into last years and this years Annual Catalogue. It's obviously a popular set to have survived this long and you can see why. It also has coordinating thinlits and it's one of my Christmas favourites to use on my cards. The large star was stamped directly onto a Powder Pink pattern from the 6" x 6" DSP In Colour pack. I ended up gluing a piece of regular weight Whisper White cardstock on the back of it for stability before die-cutting with the largest scalloped oval framelit. I backed this with a whisper white regular oval to separate it from the Quilt Top embossed panel.

The smaller stars were stamped and heat embossed onto powder pink cardstock and die-cut with their matching stars framelit. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was die-cut with the banner from Petals & More thinlits. I had just three of the clear rhinestones left, until my order comes this week, and I coloured them in with my bronze Stampin' Blend marker.

Thank you for stopping by tonight, to see more Christmas creations from the Art with Heart team, hop over to Claire's blog to continue.
