Heart of Christmas Week 8

Hi everyone, is it just me or are these weeks really flying by?! We are sharing our Week 8, Heart of Christmas projects with you tonight. I hope you're enjoying this weekly blog hop from the Art with Heart team.

For my card base I used one of the foil edged cards from the Holiday Catalogue. There are 20 card bases in each pack, with matching envelopes, and they are also available in gold.
This was my first play with the Dashing Deer Bundle and oh my gosh, this bundle is just beautiful!
I've die-cut the deer and the larger scalloped oval out of some of my left over retired dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver onto a stitched oval and mounted onto the scalloped ovals. I die-cut three open flowers in Lemon Lime Twist and glued them to three solid flowers cut from silver foil, each one has a basic rhinestone for the centre. To finish off the embellishing I used a faceted gem underneath the sentiment and a double bow of silver/white bakers twine on the deer's neck.
The striped DSP is one of the patterns from the 2017-2019 In Colours 6" x 6" pack and is adhered to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
I've kept the inside quite simple by adding a narrow strip of the DSP to the bottom of the card.
I think this design would look gorgeous in each of our 2017-2019 In Colours.
What do you think?

Well, that's it from me tonight, thanks for stopping by.

  1. I love the use of the lemon lime twist. I never think to use it for a Christmas card and yet it looks amazing.
