Hello everyone!
Welcome to tonight's Colour Creations hop with the Art with Heart team.
This is our last colour challenge before Christmas, and members of the team are sharing projects featuring Merry Merlot.
6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Neutrals Collection
This lovely new colour was added to our Neutrals family this year, and it's the perfect colour for a Christmas card, which is what I have made for my project tonight.
I finally gave in and bought the 'First Frost' bundle. This beautiful set of stamps and framelits from the Holiday catalogue, is carrying over and will be available at least until the 3rd of June 2019, but will be sold separately. If you love this set and want to save 10%, like I did, I recommend you buy the bundle before January 2nd, and I might also just mention that if you love the matching DSP, get that now too, as it is only available while supplies last.
I wanted to make this card simple and elegant and I think I've achieved that. The copper foil goes beautifully with the Merry Merlot, they really compliment each other well. I heat embossed the leaf spray in white embossing powder on the double mat of cardstock and foil. The sentiment and flowers are stamped in Merry Merlot ink and each are cut out with their coordinating framelits. I love the little frame die that is in the framelits set and I backed it with a piece of the copper foil by freehand cutting around the frame leaving a small border of about 1/8". A metallic pearl adds the finishing touch.
I really hope you have enjoyed seeing all of our projects from our Colour Creations hop each week. We'll be back after Christmas, January 8th, to continue sharing our projects featuring all of our wonderful Stampin' Up! colours! I hope you'll join us again.
