AWH Team - Colour Creations Week 18 - Gorgeous Grape

Hello and welcome, everyone.

It's Week 18 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team, and tonight's featured colour is Gorgeous Grape.

Gorgeous Grape is from the Bright's Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.

I love making square cards and I love the Arrange A Wreath Bundle from the Annual Catalogue. The bundle isn't just for Christmas as it has other occasion elements, including Easter and Valentines Day. This is only the second card I've made using the wreath dies, but it's a recent purchase for me and I can already tell that I'll use it often.

The wreath is three layers thick. The first two layers are Whisper White card stock, but on the second layer I added some softly sponged Gorgeous Grape ink. The third leaf layer was cut from Gorgeous Grape card stock.

I've mentioned before how much I love non traditional colours on Christmas cards. I think this purple and white combo is really striking!

There is so much to love about this bundle. Just look at the soft and subtle impressions on these die cuts.
I've used three beautiful gold Gilded Gems for the poinsettia centre.

Do you like the layering on the brass foil bow?
There are two full bow die-cuts, two loop die-cuts and I tied a double bow with the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim pack.

To the square card base front I added double matting in Whisper White and Gorgeous Grape. Before I dry embossed the Whisper White layer that the wreath is attached to, I sponged some Gorgeous Grape ink in a circle shape leaving the centre space clear. I love the soft shading behind the wreath.

For the inside, I added a simple matted writing panel and a narrow strip of brass foil for a little touch of elegance.

The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly die.

Well that's it from me tonight, thank you for stopping by.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Gorgeous Grape projects.

Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of tonight's participants on her blog.

Stay safe and well. See you all again soon.

With the gold accents, your Gorgeous Grape and white card looks very regal, and oh-so-elegant. Love the sumptuous bow treatment, and the three layers of wreaths with their differences.
