AWH Team - Colour Creations Week 33 - Pear Pizzazz

Hello and welcome everyone.

It's Week 33 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art with Heart team.
Our featured colour tonight is Pear Pizzazz from the Subtles Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.

Here is the colour palette I chose.

Inspiration for the colours on my card, came from this gorgeous wrapping paper that you can see in the photo below.

And here's my card.

Last Thursday I shared a card I'd made for friends who had recently become grandparents for the first time. You can see the card here. This time my card is for the parents of the new baby boy. It's such an exciting time for all concerned and brings back beautiful memories of when our boys, now men, were first born.

I knew the perfect bundle I wanted to use for my card. It's called Kangaroo & Company and you can find it in the new Jan-June Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up!. The fun stamp set features really cute images and sentiments. The dies cut out all but the grass image, and the big kangaroo die creates a slit in the top of the pouch to add an interactive element.

For the background, I applied a water coloured wash in three sections starting with Pear Pizzazz at the bottom, Petal Pink in the middle and finishing with Pool Party. I stamped the grass in Pear Pizzazz full strength and second generation. Once this panel was dry, I double embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder and glued it to a slightly larger piece of Sahara Sand foil. Mumma and baby kangaroo were stamped in Memento ink and coloured in with the Bronze and Ivory Stampin' Blend markers. I did the same with the cute butterflies, colouring the wings with Pool Party and adding a touch of Wink of Stella for some sparkle.

Inside the card I added three layers for the writing panel and stamped the cute little butterflies, heart and sentiment in Pear Pizzazz, and out came the Wink of Stella brush pen again. You can never have too much sparkle on a baby card. 💙

You'll find a full list of all the products I've used on my card at the end of this blog post.

Well, that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Pear Pizzazz projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, has a list of tonight's participants on her blog.

See you all again soon. Stay safe and well.
