AWH Team - Colour Creations Week 35 - Pool Party

Hello and welcome everyone.

It's Week 35 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team.
Tonight our featured colour is Pool Party from the Subtles Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.

Sale-a-bration is still in full swing, and will be until the 28th February. For my card I decided to use a pattern from the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper which is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $90 product purchase.
Pool Party is one of the many colours featured in this paper pack.

I love these gorgeous brush-stroke daisies on the black background. I have mimicked the colours of white, Pool Party and So Saffron for my daisy and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. The daisy was made with Shimmery White card stock using the Medium Daisy Punch and I added Pool Party ink to the petals with the fine tip Water Painter. The centre of the daisy and the leaves were cut out with dies from the Pierced Blooms Dies.

I added some texture to the petals by using a fine-tip stylus to draw random lines. It adds interest and texture to otherwise plain white petals.

I attached the daisy to a black Stitched Shapes circle and silver foil Layering Circles die-cut. There are dimensionals under the foil circle to pop up this element. The sentiment is from the Arrange A Wreath stamp set and was cropped with one of the shapes from the Messages Die and matted with a piece of Pool Party card stock.

Inside the card I added a strip of Pool Party card stock and the DSP.

For decorating I have used the gorgeous Pool Party sheer ribbon and three Coastal Cabana rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones pack.

Well, that's it from me tonight everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

You'll find a full list of all the products I've used on my card at the end of this blog post.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's Pool Party projects. Our lovely hostess Catherine, will have a list of tonight's participants on her blog.

Check them all out using this link:

See you all again soon. Stay safe and well.

  1. Oh, this is so sweet, Caroline! I love the texture you added to the daisy petals, and really like that you added Pierced Blooms die cuts for the leaves and flower centre. The softness of the sheer ribbon looks great against the boldly patterned paper. Beautiful card.

  5. Another beautiful card Caroline. I love the way you were inspired by the DSP design to create a matching daisy as the focal point. There is so much added detail to you daisy and leaves. I've been humming and har-ring about those Pierced Bloom dies. I think they are going to fall into my shopping basket. xxx
