Hello and welcome everyone.
It's Week 44 of the Colour Creations Showcase from the Art With Heart team.
Tonight, members of the team are showcasing Sahara Sand in their projects. Sahara Sand is a member of the Neutrals Collection of Stampin' Up! colours.
Sahara Sand was the perfect background colour for my Art Gallery Bundle birthday card.
I've made another slimline card and I decided to use the vertical aspect this time.
I have to say that I love how this card turned out. It's simple but elegant design is what I like most.
In the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalogue, on page 11, you'll find the Love You Always foil sheets. Sahara Sand is one of the three colours in the pack so I just had to use some of it on my card. The other two colours are Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose. I decided to use Blushing Bride for my stamped bloom along with Calypso Coral for the highlights and Soft Sea Foam for the leaves and stem.
I stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand from the Art Gallery stamp set. I added dimensionals behind it to give it some height. The flower head is popped up with dimensionals too. Everything else is glued flat to the card.
I used two embossing folders to add some texture to the matted panels - the soon to retire Subtle 3D EF and the Tasteful Textile 3D EF, which will carry over into the new catalogue for 2021-2022.
I tied a double bow with Linen Thread, stuck down with a mini glue dot, and there's a sneak peek at a new embellishment in the form of a very cute gold bumblebee. I'm sure this little cutie will be very popular and you'll be able to purchase it along with lots and lots of wonderful goodies in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up!
In the photo above you should be able to see some sparkle on the Calypso Coral highlights on the flower, this came courtesy of the Wink of Stella glitter brush pen. Trust me, you need one of these!
