AWH Team Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 2 Balmy Blue

Hello and welcome everyone.

It's Week 2 of the Colour Creations blog hop from the Art With Heart team. Our featured colour tonight is Balmy Blue from the Subtles Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. It's a lovely soft baby blue.

Here is how I have used Balmy Blue on my card for this week.

The sweet little bird and heart in Balmy Blue and the bramble edge in Granny Apple Green were all cut with dies from the Birds & More set. This is a gorgeous set of dies that coordinate with the Birds & Branches stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Birds & More Dies.

Using a Blending Brush I added some Balmy Blue ink behind the bird. You can just see the soft blue colour in the photo above. I coloured a silver metallic pearl with my dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend marker for the birds eye and sticking with black, I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto Basic Black card stock and cropped with the Messages die. The sentiment is from the Free As A Bird stamp set.

I used one of the Greenery Embossing Folders to emboss the top half of the main layer, then wrapped and tied a bow with a length of the white seam binding crinkle ribbon around it. For some sparkle I added three basic rhinestones that I coloured with my dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend marker.

Inside I used my Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue softness behind the stamped bird. The bird is from the coordinating Birds & Branches stamp set.

I'll have a full list of all the products I've used on my card at the end of this blog post.

That's it from me tonight everyone, thanks for stopping by.
