The Heart of Christmas - Week 20

Hello crafting friends and welcome to Week 20 of the Heart of Christmas.

I hope you are really enjoying our Art with Heart teams weekly posts bringing you Christmas inspired cards and projects every Wednesday until the end of November.

My card this week is a really fun card, where I have used all of the ink colours from our 2017-2019 In-Colour collection on my stamped stitched square.

I loved using these fun, non-traditional colours on my card. The greetings are from four different stamp sets and all the stars are from the 'Star of Light' stamp set. I've added some rhinestones and a glitter enamel dot for the star centres. I've mounted this onto a square of Berry Burst and scalloped square of Lemon Lime Twist and this is attached to the Holly embossed layer with dimensionals. This is matted onto Berry Burst and added to my Thick Whisper White card base. Since watching a video on how to create a double-bow, I grab any opportunity to make another one for my cards and this one uses the 1/4" Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon from the Annual Catalogue.

And, what's a Christmas tree without tinsel? - just a tree!
I've cut pieces of the silver Mini Tinsel Trim to decorate this little tree and it is die cut from the 6 x 6 Quilted Christmas DSP. The Quilt Builder Framelits have a matching triangle shape to cut this out, and also a little die for the star on top and the tree base. By placing the base under the tree this way, it looks like the trunk of the tree. If you place it the other way up it looks like the tree is sitting in a little bucket; either way looks cute! I've added a touch of Wink of Stella to the Berry Burst star.

Staying with the fun theme, inside I chose this sentiment from the 'Labels to Love' stamp set, inked in Berry Burst and stamped onto Whisper White and matted with Berry Burst. I've never been a huge fan of washi tape, but the Year of Cheer washi tape is just too gorgeous to resist, and I've added it to the bottom of the writing panel.

Well that's it for another week - see you next Wednesday for Week 21 of the Heart of Christmas.

The lovely Tina Gillespie is hosting the list of other participants this week, over on her blog, so be sure to check them out.

Until next time.....
Stay happy and stay crafty! 😊
