AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends and welcome to another Colour Creations Blog Hop from the Art with Heart team.
We're up to Week 11 and tonight's featured colour is Cherry Cobbler.

Cherry Cobbler 6" x 6" DSP from the Regals Collection

For my project I decided to make a 'thank you' card.

I think the warmness of the Cherry Cobbler called for using it with Very Vanilla, but of course it looks just as lovely with Whisper White too, and the versatility of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper allows you to choose either.

I heat embossed the sentiment and flower in our black embossing powder. These two stamps are from the 'Painted Glass' stamp set and I coloured the rose using the light and dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends markers. The black rhinestones are a retired product but you could colour our clear rhinestones with a black marker. In fact you can colour the rhinestones in any colour - why not have a go and see how much fun it is?

A close up shot of the embossing and colouring of the rose.
I apologise for the quality of lighting in the photo's - it was an overcast day when I took them.

This was a simple card to make and I think it's a suitable design for any occasion.

Thank you for stopping by tonight. You can check out what the other girls have made by hopping over to Cathy's blog.
