AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Hi everyone.
Welcome to Week 19 of our Colour Creations blog hop.

Tonight the Art with Heart team have created projects featuring Garden Green.

Garden Green 6" x 6" DSP from our Regals Collection

I had so much fun putting this project together. My first thought was to give it to our grandson who turns five in December, but I've changed my mind and decided to give it to an older male member of the family for their birthday at the end of this month, I think they'll get a real kick out of it. After all who doesn't love a jigsaw puzzle, no matter how old you are?

The froggy paper is from the Halloween Toil & Trouble DSP in the holiday catalogue, and perfect for a jigsaw puzzle. I glued a piece of regular white cardstock to the back of the DSP before die-cutting with the Puzzle Pieces thinlits, this makes the pieces more sturdy.
Once the pieces were cut I took them out of the frame and glued that to a panel of Garden Green. Then I placed the puzzle die back inside the frame and ran that through the Big Shot with the new embossing mats. This creates an indentation only inside the main frame and it helps with the placement of the pieces and, it looks great!

To show which way is up, I used the Circle Tab punch to create this pull tab and stamped the arrow from the Tabs For Everything stamp set.

Using the Envelope Punch Board I made a pouch to hold the jigsaw.
The Just for you stamp is from Bella & Friends and the leaf branch is from Animal Outing.
Instead of cutting away the top flap, I glued it to the inside because it leaves you with a neater top edge and much sturdier pouch.

To go along with the puzzle, I made a little card using one of the Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes.

I used the same two stamp sets as mentioned above to create the sentiment and image. Enjoy is from Bella & Friends and the very "chilled" looking frog is from Animal Outing. I've added just a touch of colour to the leaves and branch in garden green and granny apple green for the froggy.

Here's a photo of what I did on the inside of the card.

Everything fits perfectly inside the pouch, ready for giving.

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing my project tonight. To see what the rest of the team have created just head on over to Catherine's blog.
