Heart of Christmas - November 2020

Hello and welcome everyone.

Tonight is the last night of our Heart of Christmas for 2020. We hope that you have found lots of creative inspiration from the projects made and shared by members of our Art with Heart team.

I thought I'd have a go at making a Teepee card, and here it is.

This 'fun-fold' card was so simple and easy to make and is something different to send off in the mail to family and friends this Christmas. It folds flat and fits into our C6 size envelopes, but just be careful where you place your punch-outs and die-cuts. My tip would be to do a dry fit first to make sure that you can fold the envelope closed once you've slipped the card inside.

I love the Perfectly Plaid photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Pine Tree punch. There are three tree images, one of them has an overlay stamp, two pinecones and some really lovely sentiments.
I wanted to use the gorgeous Balmy Blue glimmer paper, so I stayed with the colour theme and added the Whisper White mats for some contrast.

I heat embossed the tree with white embossing powder and stamped the sentiment with Balmy Blue classic ink. I cut out the sentiment using a Stitched So Sweetly die. Using second generation Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the three stars from the Family Party stamp set over the sentiment and in the lower section behind the tree. On these three stars, I added a touch of sparkle from the Wink of Stella brush.

Here is the card laid flat, showing the front. I attached a mini Velcro dot to hold it in its 3D form.

Here is the flip side showing the writing panels and the other Velcro dot.

I used the star stamp again to decorate the envelope.

For embellishing, I coloured a length of the linen thread with my dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blend marker and tied it into a double bow. I added three different sized clear rhinestones and one of our copper metallic stars for the top of the tree.

Well that's it from me tonight everyone, thank you for stopping by.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the team's projects for this last Heart of Christmas for 2020.

Our lovely hostess Judy, has a list of all tonight's participants on her blog.

Stay safe and well. See you all again soon.
