Colour Creations Week 15 - Daffodil Delight

Hello and welcome to Week 15 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop from the Art with Heart Team.

Tonight our featured colour is Daffodil Delight from the Brights Collection of Stampin' Up! colours. It's a lovely creamy, buttercup yellow.

A few weeks ago on my weekly Facebook LIVE I made a Pinwheel Tower card for my lovely followers. Everyone loved the card and I thought I'd recreate it for tonight's hop using the same Beautifully Penned Sale-a-bration DSP, and Daffodil Delight for the flowers.

The centre tower is a square tube and the panels create the pinwheel effect. They have been very popular lately and are lots of fun to decorate. I chose my absolute favourite dies to play with, the Pierced Blooms and Stitched So Sweetly dies.

In the video I made two sizes, a small and large version. The card above is the larger version and it fits nicely inside our medium envelopes. To give the flower more depth, I sponged around the edges and in the centre with Daffodil Delight ink. On the sentiment label I randomly stamped one of the small flower images from the coordinating In Bloom stamp set also in Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and it's from the Art Gallery stamp set.

I alternated two of the patterns from the Beautifully Penned DSP to decorate the panels. On this narrow section I used the dotted pattern and added smaller Pierced Blooms flowers. You can't see it in the photo but on each of the flowers I brushed on some Wink of Stella sparkle.

There is plenty of room to write a personal message on this layered Stitched So Sweetly die cut. The flower in the pattern reminded me of this particular shaped flower from the Pierced Blooms die set.

The main flower has a gilded gem for the centre and Granny Apple Green leaves. The writing panel flower has a gold sequin centre from the Sequins For Everything pack. The bow is made from the gorgeous Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. I think it compliments the DSP patterns perfectly.
There will be a list of the products I used on my card below.

Sale-a-bration finishes on September 30th.
You could choose the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper for FREE with a qualifying order.

That's it from me tonight everyone, thanks for stopping by.
