Hello and welcome to the Heart of Christmas from the Art with Heart Team.
Do you sometimes find it hard to choose a favourite pattern of Designer Series Paper to feature on your cards or projects?
I know I do, so this Double Gate Fold card is the perfect fun-fold to show off both sides of the DSP.
Type, Double Gate Fold card into the search bar of Pinterest and a number of different styles and designs show up. This one in particular caught my eye and I just had to make it.
This is how it looks when it's open and on display - isn't it gorgeous! The paper is the Heartwarming Hugs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalogue. It's made a welcome return and I'm so glad it has because I hadn't really taken much notice of it in the previous catalogue. The patterns are so lovely and have the traditional Christmas colours of red and green.
To decorate, I've chosen three dies from the Stitched So Sweetly set, and sentiments and dies from the Words of Cheer bundle. The double stitched ribbon in Real Red is from our Annual Catalogue. It ties so beautifully for that perfect bow!
I just absolutely love the cute poinsettia and holly leaf dies from the Christmas Cheer dies that are part of the Words of Cheer bundle. They add the sweetest touch of embellishment to the label dies for a little something extra.
I'm going to try this Double Gate Fold design using more of my favourite DSP patterns. Why not give it a try yourself, we have so many amazing packs of beautiful Designer Series Paper. I'm sure you'll find some firm favourites too.
