Colour Creations - Week 4

Hello and welcome everyone to Week 4 of the Colour Creations blog hop from members of the Art with Heart team.

Tonight we are showcasing the 4th of the 2023-2025 Stampin' Up! In Colours - Pebbled Path.

Pebbled Path

My masculine birthday card features ink blending using post-it notes and our small Blending Brushes.

I recently watched a video by Gail Ellis where she featured this technique and I wanted to try it for myself. I created a sand, sea and sky scene as a background for my sailboat.

The sandy shore is Pebbled Path, the sea and part of the sky is Boho Blue with the remainder coloured in Bubble Bath and Petal Pink ink using the torn strip of post-it note and a set of the small Blending Brushes.

I have used a mix of products on my card and that is something I absolutely love about Stampin' Up! This goes with that!
I'll share a full list of the products I used in thumbnail images below this post.

 Inside the card.

I did use some retired gems to embellish the card and they were the faux sea glass shapes.

Thank you so much for stopping by on your way through our blog hop tonight.

You'll be visiting the lovely host of this blog hop next, Catherine Proctor.

If you happen to find a broken link, a complete list of all tonight's participants can be found on Catherine's blog.

Stay safe and well everyone. See you all again soon.

  1. I really love Boho Blue with Pebbled Path, and you have used these colours so well, Caroline! I love how the white space on the card shows off the lovely muted colours. Great work with the ink blended background, and embossing on the sailboat - lovely details.

  3. Caroline your blended background is wonderful! I love the way you've framed the scene with the Countryside Corners, embossed the boat and shown the softer side of this moody brown.

  4. Caroline I love the graduated blending technique especially using the subtle colours, I wasn’t sure if the faux sea glass is still available but an excellent addition to your card.

  6. Awesome card, Caroline. I saw Gail's technique too and want to try it. I just love the softness of the blending that you have created, it is stunning and so perfectly exocuted. The sailboat with vellum circle is wonderful too!

  7. Oh so gorgeous Caroline. Your sea scene is so peaceful. I love the blended background with the range of colours. Blending over a torn Post It Note gives beautiful effect. A lovely little boat sits the scene beautifully. x
